Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist end-users with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of devices (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
- Document and track support requests using a ticketing system.
System Maintenance and Monitoring
- Monitor IT systems and networks to ensure performance and security.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches on software and hardware.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of IT equipment and software applications.
Network Management
- Support the management of local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks.
- Ensure network connectivity and performance through monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Assist in maintaining firewall and security systems.
User Account Management
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and permissions across various systems.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Assist users with password resets and account access issues.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Assist in the creation of user manuals and training materials for IT systems.
- Generate reports on IT support activities and system performance as needed.
Collaboration and Training
- Work closely with the IT team to implement new technologies and systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on software applications and best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Project Support
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure technology solutions meet organizational needs.
- Provide input and suggestions for improving IT services and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support or related role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
