Merchant Cash Advance - Underwriter, Quezon City

About the Role:

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented U.S. Merchant Cash Advance Underwriter to support our American lending operations. This role requires strong financial analysis skills and the ability to assess small business risk using American bank statements, credit reports, and revenue patterns. Applicants should have a solid background in finance, accounting, or lending and be capable of making funding recommendations based on data and underwriting criteria. This position supports our U.S.-based lending operations and plays a key role in the funding decision process for small and medium-sized businesses across multiple industries.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze American bank statements, credit reports, and business cash flow to evaluate repayment capacity and overall business health.
• Assess risk factors such as revenue consistency, negative balances, overdrafts, deposits, and industry type.
• Interpret financial trends and prepare summary reports with funding recommendations.
• Review and verify accuracy of application data and supporting documents.
• Communicate with the underwriting team and management regarding deal risk, inconsistencies, or red flags.
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting policies and guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of bank statement analysis and key business performance indicators.
• Experience reviewing credit reports (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) is a strong plus.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for financial modeling and ratio analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Experience in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) underwriting or U.S. lending is a major advantage.

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience underwriting Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) or similar U.S. financial products
• Knowledge of tools like Decision Logic, MCA Track, or similar platforms
• Experience working with U.S.-based lenders or funding companies
