Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll (semi-monthly or monthly cycle)
• Review timekeeping data, overtime, leave credits, and payroll adjustments
• Compute salaries, allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions
• Prepare payroll reports for review and approval

Final Pay Processing

Compute final pay for resigned or separated employees, including:

• Pro-rated salary
• Unused leave credits (if applicable)
• 13th-month pay proportion
• Tax adjustments
• Coordinate with HR for clearance completion
• Ensure timely release in compliance with labor regulations

Government Mandatory Contributions

• Prepare and process monthly remittances for:
• SSS
• PhilHealth
• Pag-IBIG
• Withholding Tax (if assigned)
• Update employee records in government portals
• Monitor deadlines to ensure on-time remittances
• Assist in the reconciliation of payroll records versus government reports

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain organized payroll and statutory records
• Ensure strict confidentiality of employee payroll information
• Support audit requirements (internal or external)

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in payroll or accounting
• Basic knowledge of the Philippine government's mandatory contributions
• Familiarity with payroll systems and MS Excel
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
