Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vessel crews and technical teams to forecast purchasing needs and plan procurement activities accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance to support inventory management and budgeting.
  • Monitor market trends and maritime industry developments to identify opportunities for improved procurement strategies.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials and supplies.
  • Resolve any purchasing discrepancies or supplier issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the maritime industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, equipment, and operational requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong data management capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
