GreenDevelopment Sustainable Solutions, Inc. (GreenDev) is hiring a Business Development Officer (BDO) to help us grow a high-trust consulting pipeline. This role is for someone who can do consultative selling, listening deeply, qualifying opportunities, and coordinating proposal development with technical teams while keeping deals disciplined through a structured CRM and proposal workflow

What youll do:

Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities (lead gen, outreach, follow-ups, and account nurturing).

Run discovery / needs assessment calls: clarify client objectives, constraints, timelines, decision makers, and buying process.

Qualify and prioritize opportunities (go/no-go) based on fit, probability, and effort-to-win.

Coordinate with technical teams (PEG/SMEs) to translate requirements into a clear scope and strong proposal strategy.

Support preparation of commercial proposals (fees, assumptions, exclusions, payment terms) aligned with internal costing and approval flow.

Improve proposal turnaround time and quality by organizing inputs, timelines, and internal reviews.

Maintain clean opportunity data in our CRM and ensure proper handover to execution teams when projects are awarded.

Work cross-functionally with BRD, PEG, and SSG to support smooth client experience and delivery readiness.

Represent GreenDev professionally in meetings, site visits (when needed), and events.

What success looks like (how youll be measured):

New clients acquired and revenue generated

Client retention and client relationship strength

Proposal quality and proposal success rate

Sales target achievement and pipeline health/discipline

What were looking for:

57 years experience in B2B sales / business development, ideally in services (consulting, engineering, environmental, trading, construction, tech services).

Strong capability in consultative selling: discovery, qualification, objection handling, and negotiation.

Comfortable coordinating across stakeholders (clients + internal technical reviewers).

Strong writing and structuring skills (you can turn messy inputs into clear, client-ready proposals).

Organized and metrics-driven; experienced with CRM tools (HubSpot is a plus).

Professional communication, confidence in client-facing work, and a high standard of integrity.

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have (but not required):

Exposure to: EIA/EIS, ESIA, environmental compliance, DENR-EMB permitting, engineering studies, ISO consulting

Experience selling into power, infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, or government-linked clients
