Job Summary


We are looking for a skilled Restaurant Butcher responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and portioning meat according to restaurant standards. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of meat cuts, food safety practices, and can work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat, poultry, and seafood according to restaurant specifications
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of meat products (FIFO)
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Prepare meats for different kitchen stations and menu items
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor or chef
  • Maintain cleanliness of butcher area, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure consistency in portion size and quality


Requirements


  • Proven experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter in a restaurant, hotel, or food production environment
  • Knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to safely use knives, grinders, and cutting equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and portion control
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
