The Sales Supervisor (Licensing) supports the Licensing Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Licensing Department. This role is responsible for supervising licensing staff, ensuring accurate and timely licensing activities, and supporting revenue generation initiatives that advance FILSCAPs mission of protecting creators rights.
The position serves as a key link between management and the licensing team by providing guidance, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with approved rate schedules, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Supervise and monitor the daily activities of licensing staff to ensure accurate and efficient licensing operations
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members to improve productivity and service quality
- Assist the Licensing Manager in planning and monitoring departmental goals and revenue targets
- Ensure timely license renewals and support efforts to identify new licensing opportunities
- Review licensing assessments, agreements, correspondence, and supporting documents before submission to management
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders such as music users and partners to facilitate licensing negotiations and address concerns
- Oversee proper tracking and documentation of licensing activities and ensure databases and reports are updated regularly
- Ensure compliance with approved rate schedules, internal policies, and industry practices
- Support the preparation of management reports, analysis, and presentations
- Assist in audits, compliance reviews, and other licensing-related projects
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by management
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Legal Management, or a related field
- At least 35 years of relevant work experience in licensing, contracts administration, business development, or related roles
- Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred
- Knowledge of intellectual property, copyright, licensing, or collective management organizations is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with licensing systems or databases is an advantage.
