Merchandising Assistant, Quezon City

Job description:

• Responsible for supporting merchandise management and procurement activities across various categories, including Fresh, Wellness & Nutrition, Pet, Paper & Disposables, Food, Fresh and Non Food

• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage local inventories and maintain items based on the directed weeks of supply set by the Buyer or Category Buyer.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.
• Track orders to ensure on-time delivery of items.
• Coordinate with the Buyer/Category Buyer regarding vendor or SKU-related issues.
• Maintain professional relationships with all vendors and ensure timely communication.
• Ensure all vendor claims and supports are collected promptly.
• Communicate with Operations regarding items for return or pullout.
• Manage cost and price changes as directed by the Buyer or Category Buyer.
• Monitor merchandise expiry dates to prevent losses and ensure freshness.
• Coordinate promotional activities and updates with the Operations team.

Job qualification:

• Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or any related field.
• With at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry, handling multiple product categories.
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other related business tools.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrates the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and maintain professional relationships.
• Can perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and committed to maintaining data and process integrity.
• Can start immediately or within a short notice period
