Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Present financial reports and analysis to management.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and analyze variances.
- Provide recommendations to control costs and improve profitability.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and manage company cash flow.
- Ensure sufficient funds for operations, supplier payments, payroll, and loan obligations.
- Oversee bank transactions, reconciliations, and financing arrangements.
4. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee timely filing and payment of taxes (VAT, withholding tax, income tax, etc.).
- Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies.
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud and financial discrepancies.
- Oversee inventory reconciliation and cost control measures for stores and commissary.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise accounting and finance staff.
- Provide training and guidance to improve team performance.
- Ensure proper segregation of duties within the department.
7. Strategic Support
- Provide financial insights to support expansion, franchising, and investment decisions.
- Analyze store profitability and operational costs.
- Support management in financial planning and business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the food, retail, or franchise industry.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and financial regulations.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
