RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage workflow: Oversee the cooking process from start to finish, determining how long each step takes

- Ensure quality: Ensure ingredients are fresh, and that food is prepared to quality standards

- Maintain sanitation: Follow safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures

- Clean: Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes

- Manage inventory: Manage the kitchen's inventory and waste disposal


SKILLS

- Basic cooking skills

- Understanding of how to use food service equipment, such as knives, pots and pans, ovens, and grills

- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control

- Understanding of ingredients and cooking methods
