Inventory Auditor, Quezon City

An Inventory Auditor verifies the accuracy of stock records by performing physical counts, reconciling them with digital systems, and investigating discrepancies. They analyze inventory data, monitor for shrinkage, prepare reports, and improve inventory control procedures. Key responsibilities include auditing, reporting, and improving accuracy in warehouses or retail. 

Key Responsibilities

• Physical Auditing: Conduct manual counts of merchandise, goods, or materials in warehouses or sales floors.
• Data Reconciliation: Compare physical inventory counts against computer records, invoices, and sales data to identify shortages, inaccuracies, or damages.
• Reporting: Document discrepancies, analyze root causes (e.g., theft, damage, input errors), and report findings to management.
• Process Improvement: Recommend strategies for better inventory control, such as improving scanning processes or tightening receiving procedures.
• Record Maintenance: Update inventory management software with adjusted figures. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or retail auditing.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management systems, databases, and handheld scanners.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in counting and data entry.
• Math Skills: Strong numerical aptitude for calculating inventory turnover and value.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift items for extended periods.
• Education: Typically requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, often with training in accounting or logistics.
