Senior Fashion Designer (Boys and Girls Clothing Brand for kids )

Overview: We are seeking a creative and trend-savvy Head Fashion Designer to lead our girls' clothing brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a keen understanding of current trends, and the ability to translate concepts into innovative and appealing collections. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential for creating detailed designs and technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

Collection Development:

• Research and analyze fashion trends to conceptualize and develop seasonal collections for girls' clothing.
• Create mood boards, color palettes, and fabric selections aligned with brand aesthetic and target market.

Design and Development:

• Use Adobe Illustrator or photoshop to create digitally render designs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Develop technical sketches, spec sheets, and tech packs for production.

Material Sourcing and Development:

• Collaborate with suppliers and fabric mills to source quality materials that meet design specifications and cost requirements.
• Innovate in material development to achieve unique textures, prints, and finishes for garments.

Prototyping and Fittings:

• Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring design integrity and fit.
• Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to garments for optimal fit and comfort.

Production Oversight:

• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are translated accurately from concept to final product.
• Monitor production timelines and quality control to meet deadlines and uphold brand standards.

Team Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor a team of designers and assistants, fostering creativity and professional growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and retail teams to align designs with market needs and promotional strategies.

Market and Trend Analysis:

• Stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
• Translate insights into actionable design strategies to drive product innovation and market success.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a fashion designer with a focus on girls' clothing, ideally in a leadership or senior design role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative design concepts, technical proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, and expertise in garment construction.
• In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, textiles, color theory, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; advanced certifications or coursework in Adobe Illustrator and fashion design software preferred.
