English Exam Success Coach, Quezon City

The English Exam Success Coach is responsible for designing and implementing English language programs that equip healthcare professionals with the skills needed to succeed in English exams and adapt to professional environments. 

This role includes facilitating classes and personalized coaching sessions to both candidates preparing for deployment and deployed nurses.  

Additionally, the coach will collaborate with recruiters, case managers and stakeholders to support overall candidate and employee development.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Pre-Assessment and Needs Identification:  

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine a candidate's current English language proficiency level.  
• Identify areas for improvement relevant to the specific exam required in their state of licensure. 

Facilitation:  

• Conduct group and personalized one-on-one English language classes to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. 
• Lead specialized sessions focusing on test-taking strategies and techniques. 
• Administer mock exams, provide detailed feedback, and track learner progress. 
• Provide training to support overall employee development, including communication and cultural adaptation, leadership, etc.  

Professional Growth: 

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of various English language exams required for licensure across different US states.  
• Stay up-to-date on exam formats, content areas, and scoring criteria. 
• Stay updated on trends in English language education and healthcare communication. 
• Attend training workshops to enhance teaching skills and program development expertise. 

Curriculum Development:  

• Design and update English language training programs tailored to healthcare professionals preparing for exams like IELTS, TOEFL, PET, OET, etc. 
• Create learning materials, including guides, worksheets, study materials, and practice tests, aligned with exam standards. 

Progress Tracking and Motivation:  

• Track candidate progress, analyze results, and provide ongoing feedback to keep them motivated and on track for exam success. 

Webinars:  

• Conduct webinars to help with WWHS' Marketing efforts and educate nurses on US English Exam requirements.   
• Align webinar content with WWHS's broader marketing goals to attract potential candidates and establish WWHS as a leading resource for nurses navigating the US healthcare system. 

Program Management and Reporting:  

• Monitor and document learner performance and progress. Analyze feedback to refine, enhance training programs and prepare reports on program outcomes for stakeholders. 

Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), applied Linguistics, or a closely related field (Bachelor's degree with extensive experience may be considered). 
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English to adult learners. 
• Proven success record in preparing students for standardized English language exams. 
• Strong understanding of English language exams, including their structure, scoring, and strategies for success. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills. 
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs. 
• Proficiency in using virtual platforms for webinars and online teaching. 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse learning styles. 
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals.
