Accounting Supervisor, Quezon City

We are looking for Accounting Supervisor to join our clients team in Quezon City. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and cost accounting and thorough knowledge of Philippine GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and cost accounting
• Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities, as well as the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvements
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform ad hoc analysis and handle special projects as requested
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger system
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting as applicable
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Coordinate the budget process
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
• Thorough knowledge of Philippine GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
• Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other accounting software financial systems.
