Drive large vehicles over long or short distances, plan efficient routes using GPS, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to check mechanical issues, tire pressure, fluid levels, and perform minor repairs as needed.
Safely load, unload, and secure cargo using appropriate equipment like pins and binders, ensuring its integrity during transport.
Maintain accurate logs of working hours, delivery details, fuel expenses, tolls, and any incidents or breakdowns.
Adhere strictly to traffic laws, federal and state trucking regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with dispatchers to plan routes, report delays, and communicate with customers professionally upon arrival.
