Responsibilities
  • Install, splice, and maintain fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor environments
  • Perform cable laying (aerial, underground, or buried systems)
  • Conduct testing using tools like OTDR and power meters
  • Troubleshoot network issues and repair damaged lines
  • Read and interpret network plans, maps, and schematics
  • Perform pole climbing, trenching, or working in manholes/ducts
  • Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field teams
  • Follow safety standards, especially for heights and confined spaces
