Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC)Technician, Manila

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of air-conditioning units, freezers, chillers, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration and A/C systems.
• Ensure proper temperature control in storage areas to safeguard food quality and safety.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with restaurant and commissary staff to minimize downtime during repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a vocational or technical course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology.
• At least 12 years of experience in maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems (preferably in food service or commissary operations).
• Knowledge of food safety standards related to cold storage equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, if urgent repairs are needed.
