Quantity Surveyor, Manila

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying for architectural projects, with at least 5 years of experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and office software is essential. This role involves managing all costs relating to architectural projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring that project costs are controlled and value for money is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural projects based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits.
• Tendering and Procurement:
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
• Evaluate and negotiate tenders and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Cost Control and Management:
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying and analyzing any variances from the budget.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to the contract specifications.
• Valuation and Reporting:
• Prepare and submit regular cost reports, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project financials to senior management.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Assist in the resolution of any contractual or commercial issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Architecture/Engineering, or any related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as an Architectural Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Licensed architect/engineer
• Can start ASAP.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is an advantage.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
