Finance and Accounting Assistant, Manila

The Finance and Accounting Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager in supporting the preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial statements, and day-to-day accounting operations. This role goes beyond routine accounting tasks and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assist management through accurate and timely financial informtation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Help monitor expenses, revenues, and budget perfromance
• Prepares schedules, summaries, and supporting documents for management reports

Accounting Operations

• Record and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustting entries
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• coordinate with other accounting assistants to consolidate financial data
• Assist in audit preparation by compiling schedules and supporting documents
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
• Maintain confidentiaity of financial information at all times
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Management Accounting
• Has proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, or supporting senior finance personnel is an advantage
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear reports
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
