Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions, including collections and expense management, while supporting compliance with tax and business permit requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections: Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer invoices, process payments, and reconcile collection records.
  • Expense Management: Record, classify, and verify company expenses; ensure proper documentation and approval in compliance with company policies.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returnsincluding Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), 1601 Series, VAT, and Income Tax.
  • Business Permits & Licenses: Help in the timely renewal and application of local business permits (Mayors Permit, BIR Registration, etc.) and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in journal entries, month-end closing, and maintaining accurate and organized accounting records.
  • Coordination: Liaise with external auditors, BIR officers, and local government units as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to streamlining accounting procedures and implementing best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA board passer is a plus).
  • At least 12 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or auditing environment.
  • Must have hands-on experience in:
  • Managing collections and accounts receivable
  • Recording and monitoring expenses
  • Preparing and filing BIR tax forms (1601-EQ, 1601-F, 2550Q, 2550M, 1701, etc.)
  • Processing business permit renewals (Mayors Permit, Sanitary Permit, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Willing to work on-site in Binondo, Manila.
