A landscape specialist designs, creates, and maintains outdoor spaces, blending horticulture, design, and construction skills for beautiful and functional areas like gardens, parks, and commercial properties, with roles varying from hands-on groundskeeping (mowing, planting, pruning) to high-level design (landscape architects) or project management, focusing on sustainability, aesthetics, and user experience. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design & Planning: Creating plans for plants, hardscaping (patios, walkways), water features, and outdoor kitchens.
  • Horticulture: Knowledge of plants, soil, and pest control for proper selection, planting, and care.
  • Construction: Building structures like decks, pergolas, and installing irrigation or lighting systems.
  • Maintenance: Routine upkeep, including mowing, trimming, weeding, snow removal, and equipment repair.
  • Project Management: Overseeing installation crews, managing budgets, and coordinating with clients and vendors.
