Description

Procuring goods and services necessary for the operation and maintenance of ships and other marine-related equipment, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, managing orders, and ensuring timely delivery
Identifying and selecting suppliers for various marine-related items such as spare parts, engine components, safety equipment, and provisions
Negotiating favorable prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure value for the company
Creating and managing purchase orders, tracking order status, and ensuring timely delivery of goods
Monitoring inventory levels, anticipating needs, and coordinating with other departments to ensure sufficient stock of essential items
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance, and resolving any issues or discrepancies
Analyzing purchasing costs, identifying areas for potential savings, and implementing cost-saving measures
Preparing and maintaining accurate records of purchases, invoices, and other relevant documents, and submitting reports to management

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marine Engineering, Marine Transportation, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering
At least 1 year of work experience
With knowledge in marine products
