Job Description - Driver Acquisition

Position Summary:

  • The Driver Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating qualified drivers to meet the companys operational needs. This role includes active call-outs, candidate follow-ups, and end-to-end support during the recruitment and onboarding process.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Driver Sourcing & Call-Outs
  • Conduct daily call-outs to potential driver applicants from job portals, referrals, walk-ins, and internal databases.
  • Reach out to active and passive candidates to invite them for interviews, orientations, and assessments.
  • Maintain a high call-out volume to ensure steady applicant flow.


2. Applicant Screening
  • Pre-screen candidates over the phone to verify qualifications, experience, licenses, and route or vehicle compatibility.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with recruitment or operations teams for evaluation.


3. Recruitment Coordination
  • Assist applicants through each stage of the hiring processincluding documentation, initial assessment, and endorsement to operations.
  • Track applicant status and follow up for pending requirements.


4. Database Management
  • Keep applicant records updated and organized.
  • Monitor recruitment pipelines and generate simple daily or weekly reports.


5. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with operations, dispatch teams, and partner agencies to understand driver requirements per site.
  • Align recruitment efforts with site needs and urgent manpower requests.


6. Onboarding Support
  • Help ensure drivers complete all required documents and orientation sessions before deployment.
  • Assist in scheduling medical exams, training, and deployment timelines.


Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in recruitment, HR, or field sourcing (experience with driver or blue-collar recruitment is an advantage).
  • Strong communication and call-handling skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to meet daily call-out and sourcing targets.
  • Proficient in basic MS Office or Google Workspace tools.
