The General Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing overall business operations, driving sales growth, and ensuring organizational efficiency. This role leads both sales and operations teams, develops strategic plans, and ensures financial targets, operational standards, and customer satisfaction goals are consistently achieved.


Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to management and staff
  • Build and maintain a performance-driven and results-oriented culture
  • Ensure employees are aligned with company goals, policies, and procedures
  • Resolve internal conflicts and promote a positive work environment
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales teams and support staff
Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand client base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Oversee sales pipeline, performance tracking, and target achievement
  • Review and approve sales contracts and proposals
  • Collaborate with marketing to improve lead generation and market reach
Operations & Business Setup
  • Oversee daily business operations and ensure efficiency across departments
  • Lead the setup of new business operations, including:
  • Legal registrations
  • SOP development
  • Pricing strategy
  • Supplier onboarding
  • Ensure operational systems and procedures are effective and optimized
  • Monitor project execution and ensure timely delivery
Financial Management
  • Ensure achievement of sales targets and profitability goals
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation plans
  • Monitor expenses and maintain cost efficiency
  • Analyze financial and sales data to improve performance
  • Oversee billing, invoicing, and remittance processes
Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and licensing requirements
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for permits and renewals
  • Maintain proper documentation and internal process manuals
Quality Control & Customer Management
  • Ensure all products/services meet company and client standards
  • Address client concerns and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Promote a customer-first approach across all teams
Strategic Planning & Growth
  • Develop and implement business strategies for growth and expansion
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Introduce innovative approaches to improve operations and revenue
  • Expand into new markets, industries, or product lines


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 5+ years experience in sales, operations, or general management
  • Proven track record in sales growth and business development
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in handling end-to-end business operations
