Internal Auditor/Head

The Internal Auditor/Head will play a critical role in safeguarding Cathedral of Praise, Inc assets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, and promoting sound financial management practices. This position will require a strong understanding of accounting principles, internal audit standards, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual internal audit plan.
• Conduct various internal audits, including financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Test controls and transactions to identify weaknesses and potential risks.

Reporting and Follow-up:

• Prepare well-documented and concise audit reports.
• Communicate audit findings effectively to church leadership and staff.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal audit best practices, and industry regulations.
• Identify and assess potential risks to the Church's financial operations.
• Recommend improvements to internal controls and processes.

Professional Development:

• Stay current with the latest developments in accounting, auditing, and risk management.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
