A Port Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of a port, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, vessels, and people. Their role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and optimizing port operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day port activities including docking, cargo handling, maintenance, and customs procedures.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with national and international maritime safety and environmental regulations (e.g., MARPOL, ISPS Code).
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the movement of goods, containers, and cargo to ensure efficient operations, minimize delays, and reduce costs.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with shipping companies, cargo owners, government agencies, customs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
