Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accountancy

12 years accounting experience in real estate, construction, or related industries is an advantage

Basic understanding of accrual accounting

Knowledge of CIP, revenue recognition, and project costing is an advantage

Familiar with BIR compliance and Philippine accounting practices

Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

Maintain and update general ledger accounts

Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and other adjusting entries

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities

Project & Construction Accounting

Maintain Construction in Progress (CIP) schedules per project

Assist in tracking cost vs budget per housing project

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Monitor accounts payable and payment schedules

Monitoring accounts receivable aging

Bank & Account Reconciliations

Perform internal bank reconciliations

Reconcile selected internal GL accounts and investigate variances

Tax & Compliance Support

Assist in preparation of BIR requirements (VAT/Non-VAT, EWT, withholding taxes)

Support government compliance and audit requirements as needed

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare basic financial reports and schedules for management

Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents
