Police Officer, Mandaue

The Police Officer is responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, preventing and investigating crimes, enforcing laws and ordinances, and responding to emergencies. The role demands a high level of integrity, physical fitness, and the ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities:

Patrolling Assigned Area:

• Regularly patrol assigned area to ensure public safety and prevent criminal activity.
• Respond to emergency calls, including accidents, crimes in progress, and public disturbances.

Crime Prevention and Investigation:

• Conduct preliminary investigations at crime scenes, gather evidence, and document findings.
• Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects to gather information.
• Investigate and follow up on criminal activities, report findings, and prepare case files.

Law Enforcement:

• Enforce traffic laws, issue citations, and make arrests when necessary.
• Uphold local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of arrests, tickets, and reports.

Public Interaction:

• Serve as a community liaison to build trust and foster relationships with the public.
• Engage with local residents and businesses to identify potential concerns or issues within the community.

Emergency Response:

• Respond quickly and efficiently to accidents, injuries, or other emergencies.
• Administer first aid or CPR when required until medical personnel arrive.

Court Duties:

• Appear in court to testify in legal proceedings related to arrests or investigations.
• Provide accurate and concise testimony based on collected evidence.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, and community groups.
• Training and Development:
• Participate in continuous training to improve skills and stay updated on new laws and procedures.
• Maintain certifications and qualifications as required by the department.
