Production Engineer II Japanese Precision Manufacturing …, Batangas

Responsible for bridging daily shop floor operations with high-level technical process improvements.

Core Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: You will execute manufacturing schedules based on production plans and capacity. This includes planning and designating the required manpower and machines for each production run.
• Process Optimization: Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes (such as stamping, assembly, or molding) to maximize quality and output. You'll often use Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen for continuous improvement.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis for process or product failures and implement corrective or preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure they do not recur.
• Supervision & Leadership: Lead daily meetings with operators and subordinates to communicate instructions and monitor manpower performance. You are also responsible for boosting morale and conducting performance reviews.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain critical documents, including standard work instructions, process sheets, and machine check sheets.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure the "Genba" (actual workplace) strictly follows company rules, ISO standards, and safety protocols like 5S and Shikkari Kihon.

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred).

Experience: Usually 1.5-2 years in manufacturing, particularly in precision industries like electronics, automotive parts, or semiconductors.

Specific Skills:

Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD/Solidworks) for technical drawings.

Knowledge of Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and Lean tools like FMEA.

Optional but preferred: Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1N3) for communicating with Japanese expats or headquarters.
