We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Analyst - Tax Compliance to join our finance team in the waste management industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, preparing and reviewing tax filings, and supporting tax-related audits and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file local tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Review and analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting the waste management industry.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Support the implementation of tax strategies to optimize compliance and minimize liabilities.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain organized records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence.
• Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and other tax-related reports.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on potential impacts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting, preferably within the waste management or environmental services industry.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proven experience with tax preparation, review, and filing processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tax software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Intuit, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
