Engineering Manager, Batangas

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and career development.
• Ensure that engineers have the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed in their roles.
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, operations, quality assurance) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and direction in the design and development of new products or systems.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve engineering processes, product quality, and efficiency.
• Perform technical reviews and audits of engineering designs, prototypes, and processes to ensure high standards of quality and performance.
• Continuously assess and improve engineering workflows, methodologies, and tools to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Implement best practices in software development (for software engineers) or design, testing, and manufacturing (for hardware engineers).
• Work closely with product management, sales, marketing, and other departments to understand product requirements and ensure engineering alignment.
• Liaise with external partners, vendors, and suppliers as needed to support product development and technical solutions.
• Ensure engineering processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA, etc.).
• Oversee the engineering department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engineering projects, designs, test results, and reports.
• Prepare regular progress reports for upper management, highlighting project statuses, risks, achievements, and resource needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, etc.) or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage engineering teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Strong experience managing engineering projects, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies.
