Furniture Weaver, Lapu-Lapu

Job Description:

1.    Weaving & Assembly: Interlace materials (rattan, wicker, synthetic fiber) around wooden or metal frames to form chairs, tables, and benches.

2.    Material Preparation: Soak, cut,bend, and shape natural or synthetic materials to make them pliable enough for weaving.

3.    Quality Inspection: Check finished furniture for durability, aesthetic appeal, and structural integrity.

4.    Repairs: Repair damaged or broken weaves, such as traditional cane seats.

5.    Finishing: Apply protective coatings like lacquer or varnish to finished products to protect

against corrosion, fire, or parasites.

6.    Collaboration: Work alongside frame makers and designers to meet specific design

Requirements:

1.   A minimum of 1-2 years experience in furniture weaving is required.

2.  Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

3.    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4.    Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

5.    Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

6.    Willing to extend hours if needed

Salary & Benefits:

SALARY AND BENEFITS

1. Training Allowance: A daily allowance of 540.00 will be provided during the 1-month training period.
2. Salary (Pakyaw Rate): Compensation is based on a pakyaw (piece-rate) system, with potential earnings ranging from 18,000 to 30,000 per month, depending on performance and productivity.
3. Free Housing: Provided to workers who reside far from the company location, subject to availability and company guidelines.
4. Free Dinner: Employees who extend their working hours until 6:00 PM are entitled to a free dinner.
