A customer support account for Machship.
Responsible for supporting daily freight and consignment operations through proactive monitoring, coordination, and administrative management. This role ensures shipments are tracked, issues are escalated promptly, and operational systems remain accurate and up to date. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks across logistics platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Rebook and manage daily pickup schedules across multiple carriers and logistics providers. Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage any delays, issues, or service disruptions.
- Track and manage consignments within logistics platforms including Machship and Twinship. Perform general operational support tasks such as contacting carriers and coordinating logistics updates.
- Monitor shipment status, proof of delivery, and performance metrics, ensuring accurate tracking at all stages. Maintain and update internal tracking tools (e.g., Airtable) for all consignments. Monitor high-value consignments and ensure timely progress and completion.
- Review completion dates and carrier performance to ensure compliance with operational requirements. Monitor and action system notifications (including Machship alerts) as a priority to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage inbound communications via email and ticketing systems (e.g., HubSpot), ensuring all issues are handled through to resolution.
- Escalate operational concerns to appropriate stakeholders when required. Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, freight coordination, or transport operations. Familiarity with shipment management systems (e.g., Machship, Twinship or similar platforms).
- Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to prioritise high-volume operational tasks.
- High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for internal and external coordination.
