A housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in a private residence, hotel, or commercial facility. The main duties involve cleaning, sanitizing, and performing light maintenance tasks to ensure a tidy, comfortable, and safe environment for guests, residents, or employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. This includes cleaning windows, mirrors, furniture, and fixtures.
Laundry and Linen: Wash, fold, and iron linens, towels, and other items. Ensure the availability of clean and fresh bedding for guests or residents.
Trash Disposal: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
Restocking Supplies: Maintain cleaning supplies and toiletries, restock as needed.
Organization: Keep rooms and common areas organized, ensuring everything is in its place.
Safety and Maintenance: Report any maintenance or safety issues such as damaged furniture or plumbing issues.
Guest Services (for hotels or similar environments): Provide additional guest services like extra towels, linens, or room setup as required.
