A Food Attendant is responsible for assisting in food preparation, serving customers, ensuring cleanliness in the dining area, and maintaining high standards of customer service. They work in various food service settings such as restaurants, cafes, food courts, or hotels.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with menu choices.
Take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen.
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and complaints professionally.
Food Preparation Assistance:
Help prepare food items, such as salads, sandwiches, or beverages.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of food stations.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness of tables, floors, and food service areas.
Ensure food is stored and handled properly according to health and safety regulations.
Regularly clean utensils, plates, glasses, and other equipment.
Stock and Inventory:
Monitor food and beverage stock levels.
Assist in receiving and restocking supplies.
Ensure the storage of perishable items in appropriate conditions.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside chefs, kitchen staff, and fellow attendants to ensure smooth operation.
Assist in any other duties as required by the management.
