A Food Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a dining or food service setting. This role involves assisting customers with their food and drink orders, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment, and supporting kitchen and waitstaff teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and take their food and drink orders.
Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about food items.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
Ensure that customers are satisfied with their meals and address any complaints or concerns.
Food Preparation & Handling:
Assist in food preparation or plating when necessary.
Ensure food safety standards are met, including handling food with cleanliness and following safety procedures.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean work environment, including the dining area, kitchen, and food service areas.
Clean tables, chairs, and other surfaces between guests.
Ensure food stations, utensils, and equipment are stocked and clean.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are filled accurately and promptly.
Coordinate with other food service staff to provide a smooth and efficient dining experience.
Cash Handling (if applicable):
Handle cash transactions, process payments, and issue receipts.
Maintain accurate records of transactions.
