Key Responsibilities

1.Team Supervision & Leadership

oSupervise and coordinate sanitation staff to ensure effective cleaning schedules are followed.

oAssign daily cleaning tasks, monitor team performance, and provide guidance and feedback.

oTrain staff on proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices.

2.Sanitation Oversight

oEnsure all production areas, utensils, equipment, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly.

oMonitor adherence to cleaning checklists and schedules.

oInspect completed sanitation tasks to verify compliance with standards.

3.Chemical & Equipment Management

oEnsure proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals.

oMonitor the maintenance and proper operation of cleaning tools and equipment.

oReport defective or damaged equipment for repair or replacement.

4.Quality & Compliance

oEnsure compliance with company hygiene policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, ISO).

oIdentify areas of risk for contamination and implement preventive measures.

oMaintain accurate sanitation records for audits and inspections.

5.Coordination & Communication

oCoordinate sanitation activities with production, quality, and warehouse teams to minimize disruptions.

oCommunicate issues, progress, or deviations to supervisors or management promptly.

oServe as the point of contact for sanitation-related inquiries.

6.Reporting & Documentation

oMaintain logs of completed cleaning activities, chemical usage, and inspection results.

oPrepare periodic reports on sanitation performance, compliance, and team productivity.

7.Safety & Workplace Organization

oEnforce safety protocols including the use of PPE and safe handling of chemicals.

oEnsure sanitation areas are organized, hazard-free, and safe for staff.

8.Process Improvement

oIdentify inefficiencies or recurring issues in sanitation operations.

oRecommend and implement improvements to increase cleaning efficiency, safety, and compliance.
