Job Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize revenue, drive business growth, and enhance the hotel's brand presence. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and achieving targeted sales goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Sales Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
Create and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets.
2.Marketing & Promotion:
Develop marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertising strategies to increase brand awareness.
Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce promotional materials.
3.Client Relations & Networking:
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, and other key stakeholders.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the hotel.
Conduct site inspections and host client events to showcase hotel facilities and services.
4.Revenue Management:
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize room rates and maximize occupancy.
Analyze sales data and market conditions to make informed decisions.
5.Sales & Marketing Coordination:
Coordinate with other departments, such as Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Events, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market trends.
Provide training and support to the sales team.
6.Customer Experience:
Gather customer feedback and insights to improve service offerings and guest satisfaction.
Ensure all marketing and sales activities align with the hotel's brand standards and guest experience goals.
7.Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
a.Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism graduate or any business-related courses.
b.3 years or more work experience in sales & marketing, preferably from travel, hotel and/or restaurant industry.
c.Knowledgeable in computerized hotel booking software, online reservation, and/or Hotel website administration.
d.Adept in online / social media / digital marketing.
e.Excellent time management skills.
f.Flexible, dynamic, energetic, and can work under pressure.
g.Resourceful and can think outside the box.
h.Pleasing personality and positive attitude.
i.Good communication skills (both written and oral).
j.Willing to work extended hours.
k.Computer literate (MS Office applications).
