Accountancy Supervisor, Davao del Sur

The Accounting Supervisor ensures that all financial and accounting operations within an accounting department run smoothly. They oversee the work of junior accounting staff, review financial statements to ensure accuracy, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Assist staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
2. Identify potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
3. Supervise and provide overall guidance to accounting associates.
4. Ensure that the company maintains compliance with accounting principles.
5. Adjusts and corrects daily journal entries
6. Checks lapsing for depreciation of property, plant and equipment (PPE)
7. Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial reports for management and stockholders.
8. Conducts surprise cash count of treasury in-charge and cashier.

Company Involvement

1. Abides with GH Office Depot set of rules, regulations and policies
2. Attends meetings (weekly or monthly meetings) as required by immediate superior and other departments.
3. Suggests and participates in achieving department plans and goals.
4. Represents and promotes positive image of the company both on and off the job
5. Performs other functions as required by the Department head
