Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and orderliness in a building through tasks like cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows, emptying trash, and performing minor repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities also include restocking supplies, sanitizing surfaces, and notifying supervisors of any needed repairs or unsafe conditions. The role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures.  

Core responsibilities

• Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing floors; washing walls, windows, and mirrors; and dusting furniture and fixtures. 
• Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas, as well as frequently touched surfaces. 
• Waste removal: Gathering and emptying trash and recycling bins. 
• Restocking: Replenishing supplies in restrooms and other areas, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. 
• Maintenance: Performing minor repairs like changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaky faucets. 
• Safety: Responding to spills and other hazards, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and notifying supervisors of unsafe conditions or major repair needs. 
• Grounds keeping: Maintaining outdoor areas by removing litter, snow, and debris, and sometimes mowing lawns or trimming bushes.
