Mechanic, Davao del Sur

A mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles or machinery to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational training or an associate degree in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience working as a mechanic, either through an apprenticeship, internship, or on-the-job training.
• Experience with specific vehicle types (e.g., cars, trucks, or heavy machinery) may be required, depending on the role.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Proficiency in using tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical principles, and repair techniques.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow technical manuals and instructions.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and accessing digital repair manuals.

Certifications:

• Certification from recognized organizations, such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or manufacturer-specific certifications, may be required or preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work with heavy equipment and lift moderate to heavy weights.
