A Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen staff in preparing and maintaining food and ensuring a clean and organized environment. They assist with various tasks to help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, from food prep to cleaning dishes.

Food Preparation:

• Assist chefs or cooks in preparing ingredients, chopping vegetables, measuring portions, and assembling dishes.
• Help with basic cooking tasks under the direction of chefs, such as stirring, frying, or baking.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing kitchen equipment.
• Dispose of waste properly and keep the kitchen organized.
• Clean utensils, kitchen tools, and equipment after use.

Stock and Inventory Management:

• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing ingredients or supplies.
• Help ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and ingredients are fresh and available.
• Notify senior staff of any shortages or issues with supplies.
