Job Summary

The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, ordering, and monitoring materials, supplies, and equipment needed for paint finishing operations. The position ensures timely procurement of quality materials at the most cost-effective prices while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and supporting smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase paint materials, chemicals, tools, equipment, and related supplies based on project and operational requirements

Request, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery

Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders, and related documentation

Coordinate with warehouse, production, and project teams to monitor inventory levels and material usage

Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers regarding delays, shortages, or discrepancies

Inspect delivered items for accuracy, quality, and completeness against purchase orders

Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, and inventory reports

Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and vendors

Assist in cost control by identifying alternative suppliers and negotiating pricing when possible

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procurement procedures

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or procurement (experience in construction is an advantage but not required)

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic inventory or purchasing systems

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
