About the Role

Stark Asia Solutions Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Coder (Inpatient/Outpatient) to join our growing healthcare team in Manila or Cebu. This role is responsible for accurately coding and classifying medical procedures and diagnoses to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with industry standards. As part of the Medical Administration team, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and clinical documentation to identify appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes
• Assign codes in accordance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Review coded records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related queries
• Collaborate closely with billing and claims teams to support accurate and timely reimbursement
• Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and industry best practices
• Participate in internal and external audits and support coding-related projects

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, CIC, COC, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience
• Active PHRN license or graduate of any medical or healthcare-related course
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
