Job Summary

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for end-users, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. The role includes desktop/laptop support, user access management, and escalation handling. Candidates with strong experience in networking and firewall technologies and leadership exposure will be prioritized.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 12 desktop support for hardware/software, OS, applications, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCs/laptops, printers, scanners, VoIP phones, and conferencing tools.
  • Support user connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN) and coordinate with network/security teams when needed.
  • Assist in network and firewall-related troubleshooting, including basic configuration checks and incident triage.
  • Manage user accounts and access (password resets, onboarding/offboarding, permissions).
  • Install, configure, and maintain standard images, software packages, antivirus, and security tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, asset tracking, and documentation of procedures/solutions (knowledge base updates).
  • Ensure timely ticket updates and resolution based on SLA; escalate recurring/major incidents appropriately.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff and demonstrate leadership in daily operations when needed.

Qualifications
  • At least 2nd year college completed or College Graduate (no specific course required).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT support with solid exposure to networking/firewall environments.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience (team lead/SME/mentor/shift lead).
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows OS / basic troubleshooting fundamentals
  • LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN concepts, IP addressing
  • Ticketing systems and support processes
  • Preferred (not required):
  • Cisco Certification, or security certification related to Palo Alto / Checkpoint / FortiGate
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Cebu City and on shifting schedules.
  • Not a job hopper (should have stable tenure per company).
  • Must NOT be a present or former employee of Wipro.
