Accounting Officer, Cebu

The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations, and supporting the companys overall financial health. This role involves handling daily accounting operations, preparing reports, and assisting in audits and financial planning.

• Record and monitor financial transactions such as sales, expenses, and disbursements
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including monitoring collections
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Ensure compliance with BIR and other government reporting requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.)
• Assist in payroll preparation and benefits computation, if required
• Safeguard accounting records and documents for audit purposes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Coordinate with auditors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders
• Perform other related accounting tasks as assigned

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 12 years of accounting experience is preferred
• Knowledgeable in accounting principles, financial reporting, and government compliance
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems/software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
