- The Sales Assistant will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and driving sales within the store. You will be responsible for assisting customers with product selection, maintaining the stores appearance, processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be approachable, proactive, and eager to help customers find the best solutions to their needs.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, providing detailed product information.
- Help customers select products based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and friendly manner.
- Support the team in meeting sales targets and KPIs by actively promoting and upselling products.
- Assist with receiving and organizing stock deliveries, ensuring products are displayed and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that promotional materials are correctly displayed and updated.
- Assist in visual merchandising and keeping the store environment welcoming and organized.
- Help with opening and closing the store, including cash handling and securing merchandise.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for improving customer experience and store sales.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge and company promotions to offer the most relevant advice to customers.
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and experience operating POS systems or cash registers.
- Team player who is willing to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with restocking or moving items (if applicable).
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with inventory management or visual merchandising.
- Familiarity with sales tracking software or CRM systems.
- Bilingual (preferred for certain locations).
