Construction Worker, Ilocos Norte

Performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May assist other craft workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

* Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.

* Load and unload building materials and move materials to work areas.

* Erect and dismantle scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures.

* Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to prepare for construction.

* Use equipment to break old forms and structures.

* Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed.

* Assist other craft workers (e.g., carpenters, bricklayers, and plumbers) as needed.

* Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate safety equipment.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
