Job Summary

The Project Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and safety of all site personnel. The role ensures compliance with Philippine occupational health standards, provides immediate medical assistance, and supports the implementation of health and safety programs on-site.


Key Responsibilities


1. Medical and First Aid Services

Provide first aid treatment and emergency medical response to injured or ill employees.

Assess and monitor employee health conditions on-site.

Administer prescribed medications when necessary.

Coordinate with accredited hospitals/clinics for emergency cases.

Maintain and monitor first aid kits and medical supplies.


2. Occupational Health Monitoring

Conduct daily health checks (if required).

Monitor employees with existing medical conditions.

Maintain medical records of employees (confidentially).

Track work-related injuries and illnesses.

Prepare incident/accident medical reports.


3. Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with:

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)

Department of Health (DOH)

Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC)

Assist in DOLE OSH compliance and reporting requirements.

Maintain health-related permits and clinic documentation.


4. Health and Safety Support

Assist the Safety Officer in implementing OSH programs.

Participate in toolbox meetings in related to health awareness.

Conduct health orientation for newly hired employees.

Promote safety campaigns (heat stress prevention, hydration, proper PPE use).


5. Site-Specific (Solar EPC Environment)

Monitor heat stress cases (especially during panel installation).

Ensure hydration stations are available on-site.

Support emergency drills (fire, electrical incidents, falls).

Assist in monitoring workers performing electrical and high-elevation tasks.


6. Administrative Functions

Maintain inventory of medical supplies.

Prepare monthly health reports for management.

Coordinate annual physical examinations (APE).

Assist HR with health clearances and fitness-to-work certifications.


Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Nursing

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)

Completion of BOSH/COSH training, ONAP Certificate

At least 13 years of experience in clinical, hospital, or occupational health nursing (construction industry experience is an advantage)

Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency response, and basic medical procedures

Familiarity with Philippine occupational safety and health regulations

Good communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills

Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Willingness to be assigned in Calbayog, Western Samar

Strong attention to detail and commitment to worker health and safety
