Cost Engineer, Valenzuela

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed, high-precision cost estimates and detailed designs for transmission and substation projects.
• Budgeting & Control: Establish project budgets, monitor actual costs against approved budgets, and conduct monthly cost reporting.
• Procurement Support: Analyze subcontractor and material costs before awarding, and manage vendor/supplier invoices.
• Forecast & Reporting: Develop project cash flows and identify project risks, highlighting areas for potential savings.
• Site Management: Monitor work-in-place progress and update the cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure electrical system designs meet engineering standards while remaining within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Previous experience (often 2+ years) in cost engineering within construction, specifically substations, transmission lines, or renewable energy.
• Skills: Proficiency in estimating software, strong analytical skills, knowledge of substation components (transformers, switchgear), and familiarity with civil works for substations.
